Part of a loutrophoros decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe.

It depicts a groom getting ready before the wedding, a theme that does not occur as often as other wedding scenes. The young man is clad in a himation decorated with a black border and has a thin band on his curly hair. A small Eros, symbolising the sexual arousing of the marital union, flies towards the groom holding a necklace of white beads, perhaps the gift he will offer to his new wife after the gesture of revealing. Behind the groom a woman, possibly his mother, is portrayed holding a torch.
